SUSANA LANNIK

Susana, founder of Lannik Law, LLC, has helped her clients and their families design
estate and second half of life plans for three decades to ensure that loved ones are taken
care of while saving as much of their hard earned money as possible.

Her practice is focused exclusively on Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate or Estate
Administration, Wills and Trusts and Special Needs Planning.

Although Susana is known as a “lawyer’s teacher” having taught courses to other
attorneys on Estate Planning and Elder Law at the Massachusetts Bar Association, and
Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, her teaching does not stop there. She views
educating the public and her clients about estate planning and elder law as her personal
mission. She says, “An educated client is a content client. It is not enough to draft a
bunch of documents that your client does not understand and will never refer to again.
The education process must begin with a carefully laid out plan and on-going contact
clients with clients to ensure that their plans continue to be relevant through on-going life
and legal changes.”

Susana received her Juris Doctor Degree from Suffolk University, Boston,
Massachusetts; a Master of Arts at Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts at New
York University. She is accredited to practice before the Veterans Administration.
She is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and with the U.S. District Court of
Massachusetts, The U.S. Court of Appeals 1st
she is a member of the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, the
National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and Leading Lawyers on Estate and Long
Term Care Planning . She was recently honored by the latter group as “Superb”.

Susana is often a requested guest speaker at various organizations including NARFE,
(National Association of Retired Federal Employees) men’s and women’s clubs in the
greater Boston area, and various other groups at Senior Centers, and assisted living
retirement communities like the Falls at Cordingly Dam. She recently addressed pet
owners at Beantown Bed and Biscuit, Brookline, Massachusetts, on Pet Trusts as part of
estate planning. Pet trusts are a favorite with Susana who is an animal lover!

Newton Life, and a co-authored book, “Bloopers Episodes in Estate Planning and Elder
Law,” with Debbie Papay; and the chapter on Durable Powers of Attorney for a soon
to be published book , called “Protect Your Legacy, What You Need to Know About the
Second Half of Life.”

the arts. Past positions have included Grant Reader for the Boston Women’s Community
